Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects for compliance with city codes and engineering standards
- Review and approve construction plans, materials, and methodologies
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports with photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to resolve compliance issues
- Enforce safety regulations and environmental protection measures
- Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders on municipal infrastructure requirements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of construction inspection or public works experience
- Valid Minnesota Commercial Driver's License (Class B) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- ICBO Certification or equivalent in building/inspection codes
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and ADA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
