Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with plans and specifications
- Review engineering drawings and technical documentation for accuracy
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Enforce federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA and ADA standards
- Manage permit processes and maintain inspection records
- Provide technical guidance to construction teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in engineering or construction technology preferred
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience
- Valid Florida Inspector certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
