Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of public works projects including roads, utilities, and drainage systems
- Verify compliance with city codes, blueprints, and engineering specificationsDocument inspection findings and maintain detailed records
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate citizen complaints related to infrastructure issues
- Prepare written reports and recommendations for corrective actions
- Assist in permit reviews and plan approvals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of construction inspection experience
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
- OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and construction documentation software
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must pass background check and drug screening
