Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with city codes and specifications
- Review engineering plans and blueprints for accuracy and feasibility
- Document findings through detailed reports and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards
- Manage permit processes and documentation for public infrastructure projects
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and project planning sessions
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of construction inspection or related field experience
- ICC Certification in Building Inspection or similar credential
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in reading technical blueprints and schematics
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and ADA regulations
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and physical environments
