Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes and project specifications
- Review engineering plans and contractor submittals for technical accuracy
- Document project progress and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Investigate citizen complaints and resolve infrastructure concerns
- Coordinate with contractors to resolve compliance issues
- Utilize GIS mapping and inspection software for data collection
- Participate in public meetings regarding infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3+ years construction inspection or engineering experience
- Minnesota Public Works Inspector certification required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with municipal infrastructure projects
