Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, and utilities
- Verify compliance with engineering specifications and safety protocols
- Review contractor documentation and permit applications
- Investigate citizen complaints and resolve infrastructure issues
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and violation notices
- Coordinate with engineering teams and city officials
- Ensure adherence to FEMA and DOT standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 3+ years of construction inspection experience
- Valid Louisiana Class E driver's license
- ICC Certification preferred (Building Inspector/Plans Examiner)
- Strong knowledge of ASCE and ACI standards
- Proficiency in CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Ability to work outdoors in Louisiana climate conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
