Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with blueprints, specifications, and safety standards
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to resolve compliance issues
- Enforce adherence to environmental regulations and sustainable building practices
- Review permit applications and provide technical guidance to stakeholders
- Participate in emergency response for infrastructure failures during weather events
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and project documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection or public works experience
- Valid Nebraska Professional Engineer (PE) or Inspector certification
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety protocols and ADA compliance standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
