Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of public works projects (roads, sewers, drainage systems)
- Verify construction compliance with blueprints and municipal codes
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Investigate citizen complaints related to public infrastructure
- Enforce safety regulations on construction sites
- Assist in project planning and budget reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction inspection experience
- Valid California Inspector certification (B, C, or D level)
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety training
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and inspection software
- Strong knowledge of ICC/CA building codes
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
