Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of public infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Verify construction compliance with city codes, blueprints, and specifications
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Enforce safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Assist in project planning and quality control processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in engineering or construction technology preferred
- 3+ years of construction inspection or related field experience
- Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Inspector certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in inspection software and CAD tools
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift up to 50 lbs
