Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with city codes and project specifications
- Review engineering plans and permits for accuracy and regulatory alignment
- Document findings through detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to resolve issues
- Conduct field investigations for infrastructure damage and safety concerns
- Prepare inspection schedules and maintain accurate project documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection or public works experience
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean driving record
- ICBO/ICC certifications in building inspection or related field
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and OSHA regulations
- Proficiency with inspection software and GIS mapping tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
