Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of municipal construction projects for compliance with blueprints and safety standards
- Review engineering plans and specifications to ensure adherence to city codes
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed compliance reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Enforce local, state, and federal regulations during construction phases
- Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records
- Provide technical guidance to construction crews and project stakeholders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years construction inspection experience
- Valid Kansas Inspector Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety protocols and municipal codes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
