Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (street sweepers, dump trucks, graders)
- Perform infrastructure inspections and preventive maintenance
- Respond to public works emergencies (weather events, utility failures)
- Coordinate with contractors and internal departments on projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Support community outreach initiatives for public awareness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years equipment operation experience
- Certification in public works or related field preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
