Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites to verify compliance with city codes and safety regulations
- Review engineering plans and blueprints for accuracy and feasibility
- Document findings through detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials on project timelines
- Investigate public complaints related to construction activities
- Ensure ADA compliance and environmental standards are met
- Prepare progress reports and recommend corrective actions when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years construction inspection experience
- Valid Oregon Inspector Certification (OSCA) or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Strong knowledge of municipal building codes and OSHA regulations
- Proficiency in CAD software and inspection documentation tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US
