Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of public infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities
- Verify compliance with city codes, OSHA standards, and engineering specifications
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to resolve issues
- Manage project timelines and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Investigate citizen complaints and conduct site assessments
- Maintain accurate records using GIS and digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in construction inspection or civil engineering
- Valid Oregon Public Works Inspector certification (OSCB certification preferred)
- Proficiency with CAD software and GIS mapping tools
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and building codes
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work for government
