Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with plans and specifications
- Review engineering plans and permits for accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments to resolve issues
- Enforce federal/state/local safety standards and environmental regulations
- Manage project documentation and maintain inspection records
- Provide technical guidance to construction teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in construction management preferred
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience
- Valid California Driver's License
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Familiarity with ICC codes and California Building Standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Proficiency in inspection software and GIS systems
