Responsibilities
- Operate light/heavy equipment (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) for excavation and material transport
- Perform manual labor including digging, shoveling, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
- Install and maintain public infrastructure (sidewalks, drainage systems, traffic signs)
- Conduct routine inspections and reporting of work site conditions
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines and deliverables
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and basic preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works labor experience preferred
- Ability to obtain Class B driver's license within 6 months of hire
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Physical ability to work in all weather conditions and lift 50+ lbs
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
