Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and flood control projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban development initiatives
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New Mexico Class C Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year of construction or maintenance experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
