Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and public spaces
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, excavators) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Support park and facility maintenance including landscaping and repairs
- Respond to emergency public works requests during inclement weather
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Complete detailed work logs and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- 1+ years of experience in landscaping, construction, or maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
