Responsibilities
- Maintain roads, sidewalks, and public grounds through routine inspections and repairs
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and snow removal equipment
- Perform vegetation control, landscaping, and park maintenance duties
- Respond to weather emergencies including snow removal and storm cleanup
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Assist in infrastructure projects including water/sewer line repairs
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or equipment operation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Must be available for emergency response during weather events
- Ohio EPA Water/Wastewater certification preferred
