Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, streets, and recreational facilities
- Operate light machinery including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system inspections
- Support waste collection and recycling initiatives citywide
- Respond to emergency weather events for infrastructure recovery
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for community projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental standards
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year experience in landscaping, construction, or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays
