Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (trucks, loaders, graders) for infrastructure maintenance and construction
- Perform manual labor including road repairs, snow removal, and park maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Respond to emergency weather events and urgent public works requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
