Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators, dump trucks) for construction/maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
- Assist in road repairs, sidewalk installations, and drainage system maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal infrastructure and report issues
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and proper equipment handling procedures
- Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or related field
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
