Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, graders, and excavators
- Assist in park maintenance including landscaping, irrigation, and facility upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Participate in emergency response during weather events or public emergencies
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years of construction or public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
