Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including road maintenance, park upkeep, and facility repairs
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Conduct daily safety inspections and follow OSHA protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow removal, flooding response)
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and work documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy equipment (backhoes, loaders)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme weather
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
