Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, debris removal, and material transport using hand tools and light equipment
- Assist in infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, sidewalk construction, and drainage system upkeep
- Operate machinery like trenchers, jackhammers, and asphalt cutters following safety protocols
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related incidents (floods, ice storms)
- Conduct routine inspections of public works sites and report maintenance needs
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oklahoma Class D driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with hand/power tools and light machinery operation
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
