Responsibilities
- Perform street repairs, pothole patching, and pavement maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Collect and dispose of waste, debris, and snow removal operations
- Inspect and maintain public facilities (sidewalks, parks, drainage systems)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and proper equipment handling
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for project coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather
- Experience with heavy machinery operation or similar field work
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
