Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including street repairs, landscaping, and park maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, sweepers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency weather-related cleanup and infrastructure repairs
- Assist in traffic control and safety compliance during public works projects
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or construction labor
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation (training provided)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
