Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery including sweepers, forklifts, and hand tools
- Assist in snow removal and emergency weather response
- Conduct site inspections and report infrastructure concerns
- Support construction and repair projects as assigned
- Maintain equipment inventory and safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Illinois Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
