Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, excavators, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency storm damage and infrastructure repairs
- Conduct regular inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in disaster recovery efforts during hurricane season
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction or municipal maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift 50+ pounds
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping systems
- Experience with hydraulic tools and trench safety protocols
