Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and parks
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, dump trucks)
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Conduct basic repairs on public facilities and equipment
- Collect and dispose of waste materials following safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
