Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., dump trucks, street sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and flood prevention initiatives
- Support park maintenance and beautification projects across the city
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during emergency response operations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Louisiana Class D driver's license
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or maintenance field
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Strong teamwork ethic and communication abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
