Responsibilities
- Perform road maintenance, drainage repairs, and sidewalk upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) safely
- Respond to weather emergencies (snow removal, storm cleanup)
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
