Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance, including pothole repairs and sidewalk inspections
- Operate heavy machinery (sweepers, graders, forklifts) safely and efficiently
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and flood prevention initiatives
- Support recycling and waste management operations citywide
- Maintain public parks and recreational facilities
- Document daily work activities and equipment usage logs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or maintenance work
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment
- Successful background check and drug screening
- Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish/Cantonese a plus
