Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform road maintenance, pothole repairs, and storm drain clearing
- Assist in park maintenance, landscaping, and public facility upkeep
- Execute snow removal operations during winter weather emergencies
- Conduct safety inspections and adhere to OSHA protocols
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment maintenance records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kentucky Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years construction/maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Strong communication skills and commitment to public service
