Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and minor infrastructure repairs
- Collect and dispose of waste materials following city protocols
- Respond to public service requests and environmental hazards
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of public works equipment and safety procedures
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or maintenance preferred
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Strong teamwork skills and commitment to public service
