Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment (snow plows, mowers, trucks) safely and efficiently
- Perform street repairs, drainage maintenance, and groundskeeping duties
- Respond to emergency weather events and natural disasters
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Assist in public events and community beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Preferred: 1+ years in construction, landscaping, or maintenance roles
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
