Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (trucks, loaders, graders) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform manual labor in parks, streets, and public facilities
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of city assets
- Adhere to strict safety protocols during all operations
- Assist with emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Texas Class A or B CDL license preferred
- Minimum 1 year construction/maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly in outdoor conditions
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Basic equipment operation skills (training provided)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
