Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including sidewalks, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery and hand tools for landscaping and construction projects
- Assist in storm cleanup, debris removal, and emergency response operations
- Perform routine inspections of public spaces to identify maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community improvement initiatives
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Complete accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
