Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including loaders, excavators, and street sweepers
- Assist in snow removal and emergency weather response operations
- Conduct park maintenance including landscaping, playground upkeep, and trail repairs
- Participate in waste collection and recycling program support
- Complete daily equipment inspections and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery or construction equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety protocols
- Strong work ethic and reliability in all weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
