Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and trenching
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors)
- Install/maintain public infrastructure (sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols
- Participate in seasonal infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate work records and equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Missouri driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Basic knowledge of construction tools/equipment
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Previous public works experience preferred
