Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and drainage maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, dump trucks, jackhammers) with proper safety protocols
- Conduct daily site inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public works projects
- Maintain equipment and tools in optimal working condition
- Adhere to OSHA and NYC Department of Environmental Protection standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
