Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscaping
- Operate heavy machinery safely (backhoes, dump trucks, graders)
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of public infrastructure
- Follow all OSHA safety protocols and department procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
