Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, paving, and concrete work
- Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, dump trucks, rollers) safely and efficiently
- Install/maintain traffic control signs and barricades for public safety
- Assist in storm drain maintenance and flood prevention initiatives
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, parks)
- Follow strict OSHA and Cal/OSHA safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
