Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers under supervision
- Assist in repairing roads, sidewalks, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards for all operations
- Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts as needed
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends for emergencies
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Must sign employment agreement to qualify for $3,000 sign-on bonus
