Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and utility installation
- Operate light equipment like jackhammers, saws, and compactors
- Maintain public spaces including parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency storm response and debris removal
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople on complex projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Experience in municipal or public works projects a plus
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
