Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure construction and repair projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, power saws, dump trucks)
- Assist with traffic control and safety zone setup
- Conduct routine inspections of public works sites
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- 1+ years construction/maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor
- Basic equipment operation knowledge
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
