Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely
- Assist in roadway repairs, drainage maintenance, and erosion control
- Install and repair public infrastructure including signs, barricades, and fencing
- Ensure work sites meet safety standards and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Document work activities and maintain equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- Physical stamina to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely
- Experience with hand/power tools preferred but not required
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
