Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) safely and efficiently
- Assist in infrastructure repairs, drainage projects, and vegetation control
- Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Document work activities and report equipment maintenance needs
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works tasks as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with construction tools and heavy equipment preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and weather-dependent schedules
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and safety procedures
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
