Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks) with proper certification
- Maintain public infrastructure: roads, sidewalks, drainage systems
- Assist in stormwater management and flood control projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and municipal protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on construction initiatives
- Document daily progress and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
