Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, trenching, and concrete work
- Install/repair traffic signals, street signs, and drainage systems
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city maintenance standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading
